Build to lease program DHA assesses builders’ new and off-the-plan properties and, where compliant, offers a pre-commitment to lease back from investors who purchase those properties from the builder or via a licensed real estate agent.

DHA is not the vendor of these properties, and these sales are facilitated by builders and licensed real estate agents.

Rent may be subject to abatement under certain circumstances such as loss of enjoyment or amenity, or breach of lease terms. Rent is paid where the property is habitable. Should a property become uninhabitable during the term of the lease, or lessor breaches the lease terms, the rent may cease or abate and the lease may be terminated by DHA.
