Accomplished senior public servant Ms Jan Mason has been appointed as Acting Managing Director of Defence Housing Australia (DHA).
DHA Chairman the Hon Sandy Macdonald said that the DHA Board was very pleased to have appointed Ms Mason—a former Deputy Secretary of the Department of Finance and a distinguished public sector leader—as Acting Managing Director effective from today.
Ms Mason’s appointment follows the departure of Mr Peter Howman, who is pursuing other opportunities.
'Ms Mason comes into the role with significant experience in both the public and private sector, particularly in her recent role at the Department of Finance. She is highly respected and has overseen a range of major projects that have been successfully delivered for Government,' Mr Macdonald said.
'Ms Mason will help DHA build on our track record of success. The outstanding service we provide to our clients, customers and contractors, as well as the support we provide our 600 staff across Australia, will continue and improve under her leadership.
'We will continue to support the Australian Defence Force (ADF) and its operations, and deliver high quality housing through our growth as an award-winning residential developer. Our highly successful Sale and Leaseback Program will also remain an integral part of our operations and capital raising.'
