04 March 2015 Location and lifestyle lure buyers at Breezes

Chen Guo is so impressed with Breezes Muirhead that he purchased a second land lot in the neighbourhood on Saturday, securing a 654 m² lot in the newly released Euros neighbourhood.

Defence Housing Australia (DHA) and Investa Land (Investa) are developing Breezes Muirhead, an award-winning residential community in Darwin’s popular northern suburbs.

Forty land lots, valued in excess of $12 million were sold over the weekend in the first Euros land release. Lots sold ranged from 448 m² up to 6,000 m² and were priced from $300,000.

Mr Guo was among the first purchasers to secure land in Breezes Muirhead’s first land release for 2015.

“When you look at nearby Lyons and consider how property prices have increased over the years, it suggests that Breezes Muirhead will also be an excellent investment,” Mr Guo said.

According to Paul Perkovic, Project Director NT, Investa, the strong sales recorded at

Breezes Muirhead confirmed the existence of pent up demand for prime building land in a quality community.

“Purchasers continue to be attracted to Breezes Muirhead due to its location in Darwin’s north and the quality of the amenity it offers, with several large neighbourhood parks featuring playgrounds, barbeque areas, cycle and walkways. They’re purchasing far more than land on which to build a new home, they’re purchasing a lifestyle,” Mr Perkovic said.

A Darwin resident for 10 years, Mr Guo was initially attracted to Breezes Muirhead by its location in the sought-after northern suburbs.

“Its location is excellent both as an investment and for a place to live. It is only five minutes from Casuarina Square Shopping Centre, Royal Darwin Hospital and Charles Darwin University and very close to the beach,” Mr Guo said.

Mr Guo engaged local building company Kassiou Homes to construct a four-bedroom investment property on the first lot he purchased in the neighbourhood in early 2014.

“I will probably build a house for my family on in this second lot. Breezes Muirhead is a great place for a family, and there are several primary schools nearby, which is perfect for us,” he said.

All homes within the Euros neighbourhood are situated within walking distance of Ted Rowe Park, featuring half-sized tennis and basketball courts, an oval well-suited to ball games and an amphitheater.

Breezes Muirhead is conveniently situated 16 kilometres north of Darwin’s CBD. Its Builder Display Village and Land Sales Centre are located at 22 Coleman Street (off Lee Point Road) Muirhead and open daily from 10am to 5pm. Visit breezesmuirhead.com.au or contact Kevin Williams on 1300 955 076.
