Four hours was all it took for the last release of Defence Housing Australia’s (DHA’s) Heartwood residential development to sell out on the weekend.

The last land lots to be released in the exclusive Heartwood residential development at Voyager Point in South West Sydney were released last week, with 25 generous-sized blocks priced between $371,000 and $468,000.

“Pent up buyer demand for the land lots was realised over the weekend,” DHA Managing Director Peter Howman said. “Land lots like these are rare in the hustle and bustle of Sydney, and this just shows that buyers want the lifestyle and amenities that Heartwood and DHA have to offer.”

The new community is enveloped by bushland that stretches southwest for more than 70km, providing a location that is protected from further urbanisation. It is named after the ‘heartwood’ of the Mahogany trees that surround Voyager Point.

“This community was designed to promote connectivity throughout the existing area with new cycleways and walkways linking to the bushland and river,” Mr Howman said.

Civil construction on the residential development has recently been completed while construction of the DHA properties will commence at the end of October this year. DHA will retain 42 land lots for Defence members and their families, with the rest sold to the open market.

Land lots, in the final release, ranged in size from 450sqm to 708sqm.
