Defence Housing Australia (DHA) and the Canberra Raiders are encouraging all Raiders’ fans to snap a beanie selfie.
The “Get ya selfie into a beanie” competition* will run over two weeks, during rounds 20 and 21 of the NRL, and encourages all those Raiders fans with a DHA beanie to explore their creative side and then post the results to social media.
‘This is a great opportunity for Raiders’ fans to show the world what the Green Machine means to them,’ DHA Managing Director Peter Howman said. ‘The beanie has been this year’s go-to apparel for Raiders’ games, and now we want to take the beanie to the world through social media.’
To be in the running for some great prizes, including signed jerseys and other promotional merchandise, all fans need to do is grab their DHA Raiders’ beanie, and post a selfie of themselves wearing it on either Twitter or Instagram including the hashtag: #DHABEANIE.
Week one of the competition is open now and participants have until 20 minutes into the clash with the Rabbitohs on Monday 28 July to get their entries in. The winners will be selected by Raiders’ players announced at halftime during the match. The person who appears in the selected selfie must be present at the game to win.
‘If you don’t already have a beanie, be at the match on Monday to collect one from the western side of the ground prior to kick-off,’ Mr Howman said. ‘You can enter as many times as you like.’
Week two of the competition will open after the week one winners are announced and will be open for entry until 20 minutes in to the match against the Warriors on Sunday 3 August. Winners will be announced at half time.
