Tender documents for the scoping study into the future ownership options of DHA were released on Friday 27 June 2014 via AusTender. The tender will close on 11 July 2014 and contracts are expected to be awarded on 28 July 2014.

The scoping study contract includes investigations into Australian Hearing Services as well as DHA. It is a two-step process:

1. Conduct the study into future ownership options.
2. Provide independent advice on a recommended sales process if DHA should be considered for privatisation.
